Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you get your teas from?

All of our teas come from local farms in Taiwan.  Our current selections are from Nantou County, Chiayi County, Taichong County, Sun Moon Lake, Longtan Township, and Hsinchu County.

How are your teas packed?

All of our teas are packed in vacuum sealed bags and boxed.

When will my order be shipped?

All orders are shipped within 1 - 3 days after the order is received.

What shipping method do you use?

Taiwan's Chunghwa Post (中華郵政) is used for all shipments.  All packages under 4kg are air-mailed via SDR (國際航空小包或國際航空包裹), and packages over 4kg are air-mailed using EMS.

How long will it take to receive my order?

For deliveries to the U.S., shipping should take about 7 to 12 days.  Shipments elsewhere can take one to two weeks.

How do I know if my order has been shipped or not?

You will receive a confirmation e-mail shortly after your package is shipped.

How can I track my order?

Taiwan Post's SDR shipping is by far the most economical shipping method in Taiwan, but unfortunately does not include a tracking number.  If specifically requested by the customer, we can ship via EMS ( a more expensive shipping method that offers tracking) for orders over $100 USD, and a customer service representative will e-mail you the tracking information shortly after shipment.

What is your return policy?

Due to health laws and regulations, we are not allowed to reuse or resell returned tea, so unfortunately tea orders are nonrefundable.  Teaware must be returned in its original condition in order to qualify for a refund.

Can I change or cancel my order?

You can change or cancel your order any time before the item is shipped.

Do you charge tax?

All tax is included in the total price listed on our website.  No additional charges will be added to your order.

What payment methods do you accept?

We are currently accepting payments from Paypal and most major credit cards.

Can I expedite my order?

If you would like your order to be processed quickly, please note your urgency in the "special instructions" section of the check out page and we will try our best to accommodate.

What is the shelf-life of your teas?

The shelf life of most loose leaf teas is about 2 years, however most tea can be allowed to age for many years under the correct conditions.

Do your teas contain any dairy?

No, all our teas are free of artificial flavorings.

How should I store my tea?

It is best to store your tea in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.  Try not to expose your tea to direct light, and keep it away from strong odors.  We recommend using a tea tin and storing it away from your kitchen stove.  Also, don't feel like you need to save your good tea for a special occasion - tea is best drunk fresh!

How many cups of tea can I make with 150 grams?

150 grams of premium loose leaf tea can make anywhere from 150 to 250 cups, assuming you steep your tea 3 to 5 times.

Can you send any free samples?

Two free samples are included with all purchases of $49 or more.  If you have any special needs or requests for more free samples, simply send us an e-mail with your information.

What free samples will you send?

The free samples sent are based on your purchase and our own recommendations.  If you would like to sample a specific tea, please make a request in the "special instructions" section of the check-out page.

Do you sell wholesale?

We are willing to cooperate with select small businesses and restaurants.  Please e-mail us with your detailed company information and business requirements, and we will notify you whether or not you qualify for wholesale.

Do you have any gift cards?

Our company does not offer gift cards at this time.

Do you sell any other products?

Our products are currently limited to whole leaf tea and a variety of teaware.  Specialty desserts and snacks from Taiwan may be considered for sale in the future.
